The Priory of Our Lady of Guisborough, like Walsingham was an Augustinian Foundation. It shared the same emphasis on the homeliness of English devotion to Our Lady. It is proud to be part of Our Lady’s Dowry. In the words of T S Eliot it is, ‘a place where prayer has been valid.’
