York Nurses Honoured
Two of our Lourdes nurses, Jean Naughton and Hugh Coyle, both from York, were awarded gold medals by Bishop Drainey for ten years service to the Diocesan Pilgrimage. Congratulations to them.

First Holy Communion at St Francis of Assisi, Hull
Seven children from St Francis of Assisi Parish, Hull, made their First Holy Communion on the Feast of Corpus Christi.
Fr Bill Serplus celebrated Mass with proud family members, friends and parishioners.

First Holy Communion at All Saints RC Church, Thirsk
A special day was made even more special when one little girl from All Saints Primary School in Thirsk made her First Holy Communion.
Not only did her Grandmother and Uncle travel from her home town, Nisa in Poland, but they brought with them her specially made Communion dress.

Global Day of Prayer in York

York Knights board the Smile Train
[ Wednesday July 28, 2010; Saturday August 14, 2010 to Sunday August 15, 2010. ] The Knights of St Columba in York (Council 95) will be fundraising for Smile Train. This is a charity which arranges surgery for children with cleft lips in the developing world. There will be a collection at the Mass the Knights are holding on 28th July at Fairfax House.
