Six children from St Hilda’s Roman Catholic School, Whitby, made their First Holy Communion during the summer.

The First Holy Communions at St Vincents Church, Hull, on 9th May proved to be a special, bittersweet occasion for the parish, as the Parish Priest, Fr Michael White, has finally given in to his failing health and retires this August, so this will be his final First Holy Communion year group.

A lovely First Communion Mass took place at the Sacred Heart Church, Hull, said by Fr Sellers, on 21st June 2009. There was a big spread afterwards, organised by family and friends.
