York Nurses Honoured

Two of our Lourdes nurses, Jean Naughton and Hugh Coyle, both from York, were awarded gold medals by Bishop Drainey for ten years service to the Diocesan Pilgrimage. Congratulations to them.

A special day was made even more special when one little girl from All Saints Primary School in Thirsk made her First Holy Communion.

Celebrating St Thomas

St Joseph’s Church, Middlesbrough celebrated the Feast of St Thomas the Apostle on 3rd July.

St Thomas the Apostle was martyred in India while proclaiming Jesus Christ. He is the founder of Christian belief in India. Perhaps he was the only apostle who went outside the Roman Empire to preach the Gospel.
