We haven’t even made our Pilgrimage to Lourdes for 2011 yet but planning for 2012 is large in our minds. I would like to share our plans with you all as quickly as possible, so that we can all begin to prepare for what will be a Pilgrimage with a difference for us all.

On Friday 1st April, 7pm at St Thomas More Church Hall in Beechwood there will be a Race Night for the Lourdes Hospitalite fund.

Thirty one parishioners from St Mary, Queen of Martyrs and St Francis of Assisi churches, Hull, travelled as pilgrims to Portugal, Spain and France during the last week in October. Accompanied by Fr Paul Dowling, their first destination was Fatima in Portugal.

Two of our Lourdes nurses, Jean Naughton and Hugh Coyle, both from York, were awarded gold medals by Bishop Drainey for ten years service to the Diocesan Pilgrimage. Congratulations to them.
