Fr David Pick from Bridlington, a former Anglican priest, was ordained by Bishop Terence in the Cathedral on 21st November – the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. David is the first priest Bishop Terence has ordained for our Diocese.

At the beginning of the Mass of Thanksgiving for Fr Simon Broughton’s two years as assistant priest in the Cathedral parish, the main celebrant Monsignor Ricardo Morgan gave a short welcome message to the congregation of around 150 who had braved bitterly cold winds to make their way there.

The Mass of Thanksgiving for all those involved will be held on the Vigil of Pentecost, Saturday 22nd May.

God shows his approval of the veneration of relics by granting healings and other graces. This is especially the case with St. Thérèse, where miracles began happening at her tomb soon after her death, and have continued wherever her relics have travelled.
