1300th Anniversary for Diocesan patron

12th October 2009 saw the 1300th anniversary of St Wilfrid of York, a patron of our diocese.

Fr Michael Marsden preached at the anniversary Mass in St Wilfrid’s York where Bishop Terry was joined by many priests and people of our diocese.

SVP Festival

On Saturday 26th September, the SVP held a festival at English Martyrs, York to celebrate the Feast of St Vincent de Paul. One hundred and twenty members attended from all over the Diocese.

Bishop Terry celebrated Mass and in his homily urged the members to follow St Vincent’s example in carrying out their work.
