    On Ash Wednesday, the children and staff of St Augustine’s and St Gerard’s primary schools joined members of the congregation at St Mary’s Cathedral for the morning celebration of Mass.

  • Benediction and Solemn Vespers

    On Wednesday 2nd March, the Cathedral celebrated Benediction with Solemn Vespers. This is the first time in over 15 years that this beautiful service has taken place in the Cathedral with music that included congregational hymnody, with psalmody led by the recently formed Middlesbrough Ladies Schola Cantorum.

  • Middlesbrough Schools join together for Christingle

    What a privilege to have participated in the ‘Christingle Service’ at St Mary’s Cathedral on 2nd February 2011. The children who attended were an absolute credit to their families, parishes and schools across Middlesbrough. From beginning to end, the singing, reading and bidding prayers were absolutely inspiring.
