Society for the Protection of Unborn Children

‘Defending human life with love from conception to natural death’

SPUC is a pro-life organisation and is not affiliated to any political party or religion. Our main aims and ethics are in line with Catholic Church teaching and the ‘Gospel of Life’. Pope John Paul II wrote in 1995,

“Abortion and euthanasia go directly against respect for life and they represent a direct threat to the entire culture of human right” … “We are facing an enormous and dramatic clash between good and evil, death and life, the ‘culture of death’ and the ‘culture of life’. We are all involved and we all share in it, with the inescapable responsibility of choosing to be unconditionally pro-life.” (EV)

Although SPUC is against abortion we do not judge or condemn anyone involved in them, neither doctors, nurses, and especially the women or girls themselves. We promote a confidential UK helpline dedicated to help anyone struggling in the aftermath of an abortion experience (tel: 0845 603 8501).

SPUC is building a new pro-life generation by providing a free education outreach programme to schools and colleges, teaching that all human life is of equal value at all stages. If we fail to respect the sanctity of human life at its most vulnerable how can we convince society to feed the hungry, house the homeless or care for the sick? Please join us today to help us to defend human life from conception until natural death.
