The 2008 Confirmation Group from Redcar, Marske and Saltburn enjoyed their Christmas Party early in December.
During the evening, they packed 70 shoeboxes with gloves, scarves, hats, toiletries and sweets donated by their families and the people of their parishes. These were to be Christmas presents for the crews of ships, away from home, and spending Christmas in Teesport. Most of these men were from Eastern Europe countries and the Philippines.
