Opening For DBS Admin Assistant

The Diocese of Middlesbrough has an opportunity to work as an administration assistant within the Safeguarding Department processing Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) documentation.

The department currently deals with around 3,000 applications in a busy working environment based in Middlesbrough.

We are looking for a person who has an eye for detail and can record information succinctly and accurately, has excellent communication skills and is confident in communicating with DBS applicants both face to face and by email. 

In addition, the successful candidate will have proven experience with working in a busy office, be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and will be expected to follow existing admin processes to complete DBS applications.

This is a permanent part time appointment for 19 hours a week. The current working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, although flexibility in the days worked will be required.

The salary is in the region of £18,000 (full-time equivalent).
