History
The parish, formed in 181-2 was the first on the south side of the river in York, then in the Dicoese of Leeds. A school-chapel on Blossom Street (built 1889) was replaced by the present church on Dalton Terrace in 1932 (Architects: Williams and Jopling of Hull).
