The Filipino choir from St Wilfrid’s Church in Hull led the singing at the Sunday Mass on 1st February 2009 at St Leonard and St Mary’s RC Church, Malton. After the service, the parishioners were treated to a meal of both Filipino and English food in the church’s community centre.
So far 10 candidates have come forward to be confirmed later this year and meetings about what it all means will begin this month. Jane Cook, Adult Formation Adviser for the Middlesbrough Diocese, visited the church to speak about the Gospel of Mark.
Pilgrimages to Malta are being organised to take place in April, June and September.
