Catholic charity partners with The Recycling Factory
The Catholic Agency For Overseas Development (CAFOD) has signed a new partnership deal with The Recycling Factory (TRF) to receive donations from its recycling operations.
CAFOD helps to fund development projects aimed at reducing global poverty and raising living standards, and is the official international development agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. TRF, which has already raised almost £670,000 for charity partners, such as NSPCC and RSPCA, will help to raise funds for CAFOD through its popular inkjet cartridge and mobile phone recycling schemes.
By encouraging businesses and consumers to recycle, TRF aims to help protect the environment by reducing waste sent to landfill sites while raising vital funds for important charities, such as CAFOD, at the same time.
Sophie Stanes from CAFOD said ‘Since the 1960s, CAFOD has been working with local partners overseas to support communities living in poverty. To do this, we need to have partnerships here, so we are delighted to have TRF raising money and assisting us with our fundraising efforts.’
Tammy Arya, General Manager at TRF, said ‘Since its launch in 2005, TRF has donated large amounts of cash to a wide range of charities and non-profit organisations. We are confident that our recycling schemes will raise significant funds for CAFOD and we are proud to have them on board.’
