Prayer of St Francis is retreat focus

St Francis of Assisi’s prayer “Who Are You, O God, and Who am I?” is the focus of a retreat at the Franciscan Centre Ladywell in January.
In listening as Francis did to God’s self-revelation, we are able to come to a deeper appreciation and understanding of ourselves as created in God’s image.
The retreat will draw upon the inspiration of the writings of SS Francis and Clare of Assisi, St Bonaventure and Pope Francis.
It will be given by Brother Paul Rout OFM, a priest of the Australasian Province of the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor.
Brother Paul has taught Franciscan Spirituality and Philosophy of Religion at Heythrop College, University of London, at the Yarra Theological Union, Melbourne, Australia and in Adult Faith Formation programmes in the Westminster Diocese.
He is also engaged in pastoral parish ministry in the Catholic parish of Heston in London and gives retreats and days of prayer to religious and parish groups throughout the country.
The retreat takes place from January 25 to 29. Residential or on-residential options are available and there is a suggested offering of £100 to £340 per person.
