A Zoom course designed to inspire parish evangelisation is being launched by ADoRE, a monthly mini-retreat morning for spiritual renewal.
“Proclaim the Good News – we are called to be Missionary Disciples” will run from January to November, usually on the fourth Saturday of each month.
The aim is to develop participants’ understanding and appreciation of how every Catholic is to respond to Jesus’ call to share in his mission. Discovering how we are all anointed, inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do as Jesus did: bring people into his kingdom.
As Pope Francis said in The Joy of the Gospel: “In virtue of their baptism, all the members of the People of God have become missionary disciples (cf Mt 28:19)…. The new evangelisation calls for personal involvement on the part of each of the baptised. Every Christian is challenged, here and now, to be actively engaged in evangelisation.”
The course runs for three hours on Saturday mornings and features talks by an outstanding selection of guest speakers, all leaders in renewal with extensive experience in both practising and teaching on evangelisation.
They will give practical encouragement and advice on sharing the Good News in the parish. Each meeting also includes Mass, Adoration, praise and worship and prayer.
The course starts on Saturday January 28 from 10am to 1pm with “Called to be missionary disciples – we are called to share in Jesus’ mission.”
The guest speaker is Charles Whitehead KSG, author and internationally acclaimed leader in Catholic renewal. Participants should register in advance for the Zoom meeting at bit.ly/ADOREJAN2023.

You don’t need to commit to all the sessions and there is no charge for participation. However, you must register for each meeting in advance and donations will be appreciated.

ADoRE (Alton Day of Renewal) is a monthly meeting of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal formed in 1975 and is now one of the longest continually running Charismatic Days of Renewal in Britain, dedicated to the encouragement of a personal relationship with God, through Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
