The Hull and District Catholic Women’s Luncheon Club meets each month at the Portland Hotel in Hull where an average of 45-50 women from parishes in and around Hull gather to enjoy lunch together and listen to a speaker.
Each year, various events take place to raise money for the President’s chosen charity. On 14th September, the President, Mrs Evelyn Hutton, was able to present a cheque for £500 to Cheryl Barrett, Fundraising Manager for the Marie Curie Cancer in East Yorkshire, after she had given a moving and interesting talk on the work of the Marie Curie nurses and fundraising.
