The ecumenical service had been prepared this year by the Christian women of Guyana, Denise’s home country, so it was appropriate and meaningful that she read the Voice of Guyana. Other services also building up unity with our Christian sisters were held at St Aelred’s, English Martyrs and Margaret Clitherow RC churches in York. The theme was ‘God’s Wisdom provides new understanding’.
