Special Ministers of the Eucharist at the hospital take Holy Communion to Roman Catholic patients in the hospital on a rota basis, one a month on a weekend. The Ministers visit the same three or four wards each month. At the present time we have 10 special ministers on duty each weekend in the hospital.
Because a number of Special Ministers have unfortunately had to come off the rota over the last four months we now find we cannot visit every ward in the hospital because of lack of numbers.
