Thirty one girls and boys of the St Martin’s Ampleforth Prep School schola joined other schools in the Choir School Association Northern Division Rounders and Football Tournament on Wednesday 11th June 2008.

This year, the tournament took place at the Minster School in York and the day finished with all the schools joining together to sing Evensong in the Minster. The girls won the Rounders Tournament and the boys came second in the final of the Football Competition, narrowly losing to Liverpool.

‘The penalty shoot out against Wolverhampton in the semi final was so tense!’ said Joe, age 13. ‘I really enjoyed the singing with everyone at the end’ said Caroline, age 13, ‘but it was so hard to keep in time in such a big place with so many of us singing.’
