Under 11 Cricket Tour to County Wicklow, Ireland
On Thursday 26th June, 15 excited boys and two teachers set off from St Martin’s Ampleforth Prep School heading towards County Wicklow in Ireland for a five day cricket tour at Oakhill Cricket Club.
The boys played five matches against CYM, Merrion, Pembroke, Railway Union and Leinster, winning each one. ‘It was wonderful’ said Toby ‘and we won everything!’ Notable performances came from Toby Pratt who scored 205 runs including an unbeaten hundred against Merrion.
Coach, Mr Richard Wilson, said ‘It was a memorable week and the boys all performed exceptionally well, there are some really good players to watch in the future and hopefully this wonderful experience will stand them in good stead for years to come.’
