St. Andrew’s, Teesville, hosted this year’s annual Corpus Christi Procession which was organised by The Legion of Mary, on Sunday, June 8 at 3 pm.
The devotion was led by Fr. John Paul Leonard who started with a homily — The Eucharist, our greatest treasure — and spoke about the importance of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
The procession left St. Andrew’s Church along Fabian Road and into Bondfield Road. The Blessed Sacrament was carried by Fr. John Paul. Four parishioners carried the canopy. Eucharistic hymns were sung as the procession made its way back into the church and adults and children carried flowers which were placed on the Altar before the exposed sacrament.
Benediction followed and the service concluded with the Litany of Loreto and the prayer for England.
