For over 40 years, Teresa has been privileged to work with young children and their families. She successfully completed her NNEB in 1971 and began her teaching career at St Alphonsus Primary School in North Ormesby. After having her own children, Teresa joined the staff of St Bede’s.

Teresa has mixed feelings about leaving Catholic education after 30 years but hopes to keep busy with exciting plans; ‘I have made lots of long lasting friendships with families and work colleagues. Obviously, I am very sad to be leaving and will really miss the children and their families but I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family and grandchildren’.

Teresa says that she leaves with lots of memories; happy and sad, good and bad, which in their entirety make up her working life. She would like to thank all the families and friends for the great times they have shared over the years and for the rich memories which she will treasure.

Teresa’s retirement was celebrated with a Mass in school, followed by a buffet for friends and colleagues.
