Anselme Noumbiwa – your help needed!

Cath Ramos writes,

Dear Friends,

Click here to view/download a letter about Anselme Noumbiwa – his lack of safety in Cameroon and his right to practise freely his religion -which we hope you will sign and send out as widely as possible in advance of this weekend to the churches, schools, organisations you belong to.

There will be an approach from one of the Lords about his case and we need to show that we know there has been a miscarriage of justice, orchestrated by HO officials who have not wanted to see all Anselme’s evidence reviewed properly as a fresh claim.

If you will bear with me, I will explain what we would like you to do with the letter.

We are sending you a 2 page letter and the page for signatures ( to photocopy, we hope you will need tens of this page!)

The letter and signatures should be sent as soon as possible to the Papal Nuncio in London. We hope you will then take a photocopy of the letter itself, indicate the number of signatures, and send to the people listed at the bottom of the letter.

It is very important that we are informed of the exact number of signatures, as this will strengthen the approach to the Minister. I would be grateful if you could inform me of the name of parish etc and the number of signatures sent or, even better, we would be happy to receive a copy of signature pages from each group for future use.

We realise this takes time. Usually, we cannot save refugees from the imprisonment and torture many are returned to. We still have time to save Anselme’s life and we will have more evidence about the danger he has found himself in.

Please send info re: numbers etc to jctc1@hotmail.co.uk
or send copy of signatures to me at 135, Norton Road, Stockton on Tees, TS18 2BG Please mark “Anselme”.
