A leading biblical scholar will deliver the Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture at Ushaw later this month.
The Centre for Catholic Studies (CCS) at Durham University has announced that booking is now open for the annual lecture, which will be given by Paula Gooder, Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral.
Canon Gooder will present a lecture entitled Who do you say that I am? Encountering the Jesus of Mark's Gospel, exploring the person of Christ through the lens of St Mark's Gospel.
The event will take place in the Theatre at Ushaw Historic House on Monday June 22 from 6.45pm to 8.45pm.
Widely recognised for her work in biblical scholarship and Christian formation, Canon Gooder is a popular author, speaker and broadcaster whose writings have helped many people engage more deeply with Scripture.
The Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture is an annual event hosted by the Centre for Catholic Studies, bringing distinguished speakers to County Durham to explore themes of faith, theology and Christian life.
