Bringing Christmas Cheer

The Ellen Timney Foundation, set up to remember Ellen Timney by continuing her good works, has been working with local parishes and schools to bring Christmas cheer to deprived children on Teesside.

Canon Eddie Gubbins and Fr Pat Keogh joined Ellen’s husband Tony and daughter Jane Morgan at the Blue Bell Hotel in Middlesbrough to help put together gifts for the children. They were helped by family friend, Foundation supporter and Blue Bell General Manager, Ron Darby.

A team of supporters including staff from St Alphonsus Primary School, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough and St Joseph’s Primary School, Norton, Stockton, then set about wrapping the toys and gifts prior to their distribution. Mrs Paul, Headteacher of St Alphonsus’ Primary School, was delighted to be involved and pointed out that the recent inspection of the school had shown its pastoral support to be one of the school’s many strengths.

Congratulations to St Alphonsus’ School and all involved. Special thanks to the Ellen Timney Foundation.
