Diocesan Choir joins Scarborough celebrations

The Diocesan Choir continues the celebrations for the 165th anniversary of St Peter’s Church, Scarborough, with sung evening prayer in the church on Sunday September 16 at 5pm.
Members of the choir come from all corners of the diocese and perform at major services such as the Rite of Election and the Chrism Mass and rehearses monthly in York.
This service is the first time since the pandemic that the choir has sung at a service other than at the cathedral.
Choir members are very much looking forward to singing this beautiful evening office at the church, and members of the St Peter’s congregation are looking forward to continuing to celebrate the special anniversary of their church building.
All are welcome to join the congregation for this service, which lasts for about 30 minutes.
