Double First for Ampleforth

For the first time, School Chess Colours have been awarded to four students in recognition of the excellent results they have all achieved in school matches this year.

The students chose to be awarded their Colours in the form of pashminas recently introduced by the School to supplement the ties that have traditionally existed. The ‘Colours’ pashminas are Black, Blue and Gold. Pashminas are also available for school monitors and Old Amplefordians. These are Black, Silver and Red from the Ampleforth Abbey shop.’
