Thirteen children from the parish of St Anthony and Our Lady of Mercy in Hull had a double reason for celebrations when they made their First Holy Communion on Sunday 13th June because it was the Feast of St Anthony of Padua.

It is the first time in the existence of the parish that this has happened. The children had been prepared for reception of the Sacrament jointly with the children from Our Lady of Lourdes and St Peter Chanel. They received the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time in their own church on Sunday 20th June.
