A special day was made even more special when one little girl from All Saints Primary School in Thirsk made her First Holy Communion.
Not only did her Grandmother and Uncle travel from her home town, Nisa in Poland, but they brought with them her specially made Communion dress.
‘Some people go home to Poland for their First Communion but Poland came to me and my home in Thirsk!’ said the lucky girl.
A perfect day was rounded off when Grandmother shared her home-cooking with the parishioners of All Saints – the communicant’s favourite Polish apple cake.
