Plans underway for Assumption Pilgrimage

Our annual pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Grace to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption will take place on Sunday August 13.

There will be Rosary from 2.30pm followed by Mass at 3pm.

Car parking is available in a field at the top of North End (the road from Osmotherley to Swainby via Sheepwash) opposite Rueberry Lane (the road/track to the Lady Chapel).

No cars or vehicles will be allowed up Rueberry Lane.

Coaches will not be allowed up North End but will drop pilgrims off in the village centre by the market cross. There will be a mini-bus shuttle up to the car park for those who need it.

Lifts up the hill will be available to the elderly or anyone who has difficulty walking from around 1.15pm. The lifts will operate from the car park to the Lady Chapel.

Seating is very limited, so please bring your own seating.

Refreshments will be available and there will be a piety stall.

As regular pilgrims will tell you, this is a very special celebration. If you have never been before, why not make the pilgrimage this year?
