The launch event for reading the Acts of the Apostles was held at St Paul’s Church, Holgate Road. The vicar, John Lee, spoke of Paul and Barnabas’ time with the church in Antioch, and reminded us every Christian is called to evangelise.
The Read-a-Book-a-Month bible challenge spends another month in St Paul’s company, reading both letters to the Corinthians during June. Then, the project returns to the Old Testament, reading the book of Joshua during July.
Monthly pamphlets are now posted on English Martyrs’ parish website, and continue to be available from the parish, price £1.20 (plus postage and packing).
