Looking for an opportunity to share kindness this summer?
If you’re 18-35 and would like to support our incredible St Vincent’s Newcastle centre, we’re delighted to welcome you to join our SVP 1833 Service Day on Saturday June 15.
St Vincent’s is dedicated supporting members of the community, working with families, refugees and asylum seekers, those facing homelessness and anyone who may need vital practical support.
More than 150 free meals all served each week at their Vinnie’s drop-in cafe. The team also runs a series of free-for-all wellbeing activities, every day of the week and a cost-of-living market every Thursday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm offering low-cost groceries, clothing and household goods.
Beginning at 11.30am, the day will offer value valuable volunteering experience and the chance to give back to community with kindness.
A travel bursary is available to support those who might want to get involved.
