69@40 and rising!

Congratulations to Fr Paul Farrer who recently celebrated his 40th birthday in style at the Knights Club in Middlesbrough.

This has been an amazing year for Fr Paul who, with the help of so many friends especially Keith and Chris, Dave and Bernie and Mike and Lyndsey, managed to raise an astonishing £69,000 for causes close to his heart specifically,

  • Teesside Hospice £8,000
  • Baghdad Cancer Hospital £17,280
  • Lourdes Sick Fund £11,300
  • Zoe’s Place £14,760
  • Monica’s Ghana Trip (Working as Physio) £2,000
  • Mike McCullagh Fund £1,250
  • Climb £1,800
  • The Ellen Timney Foundation £1,000
  • St Mary’s School, Grangetown £1,000
  • St Thomas More School £1,000
  • St Edward’s School £1,000
  • Ward 28 JCUH (Stroke Unit) £1,500
  • Bishop’s Charity Fund £1,500
  • MS Society (Teesside) £1,500
  • Learning and Disability Centre, Normanby Rd £1,500
  • Paediatric Diabetes Trust Fund JCUH £500

Fr Paul writes,

‘I know it doesn’t quite add up to £69,000 – we need to just keep some back for final bill payments but we’re confident that it will reach that sum. Also gift aid of the Zoe’s Place money will take the sum over £70,000!’

Well done Fr Paul and many happy returns.
