York Festival’s Star Attraction

Science City York is delighted to announce the upcoming visit to York by Brother Guy Consolmagno SJ, curator of the Vatican meteorite collection in Castel Gandolfo. The Vatican collection is one of the largest in the world. His research explores the connections between meteorites and asteroids, and the origin and evolution of small bodies in the solar system.

During his visit to our region, Brother Guy is delivering a talk as part of the forthcoming York Festival of Science and Technology, offering an insight into his role at the Vatican Observatory and exploring a series of ‘cosmic questions’.

The talk takes place on Friday 13 March in The Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York, beginning at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £4 adults; £2 students and OAPs; and can be purchased from the York Minster Box Office telephone 01904 557208.

The 12th York Festival of Science and Technology takes place across several sites in York from 6th-15th March. Please see www.sciencecityyork.org.uk
