York’s Read-a-book-a-Month

To launch the reading of St Luke’s gospel and the accompanying pamphlet, English Martyrs parish, York, held a Taizé service of music and meditation. As well as the parish priest, Fr Dominique Minskip, the meditations were read by members of the drama group and the bible study group, and a member of St Clement’s Church.

‘The new pamphlets, A4 size, contain three times as much material,’ says Mary, ‘and bring us new insights into the Gospel story’ – £1.50 from local churches, or download free from the parish website.

The May launch event in the READ-A-BOOK-A-MONTH challenge is at St George’s Church, Peel Street, Tuesday 12th May, 7.30 pm, launching St Paul’s letters to the Corinthians. Music, drama, refreshments. All welcome.
