Readers of the Voice may remember that, late last year, St Mary’s Primary School, Grangetown received an excellent school inspection just prior to the retirement of the headteacher Mrs Lemmon.

Unfortunately before Mrs Lemmon could step down and enjoy a well-earned retirement the school was ravaged by fire.
Now like a phoenix St Mary’s has risen from the ashes with Mrs Christine Ruddy as the new headteacher.
In April Bishop Terry paid a visit. You can see from the smiles that staff and pupils are doing well.
