Broadcasters launch joint campaign to call the nation to prayer

United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) and Premier Christian Radio have launched a joint campaign calling on Christians, churches, and individuals to pray the Lord’s Prayer together, wherever they are tomorrow (Friday January 12).
The date marks the run up to Blue Monday, which has been dubbed “the most depressing day of the year”, and as a response, the broadcasters are joining forces to call the UK to prayer.
Both broadcasters will air prayer-themed reflections from 11am, culminating in a joint call to pray the Lord’s Prayer together at noon.
Kevin Bennett, Premier’s acting CEO, said: “It’s wonderful to be working with our friends at UCB on this important act of unity and hope.
“We long to see God’s kingdom come in 2024, and by starting the year with hundreds of thousands of Christians praying the Lord’s Prayer together, we aim to speak a blessing over our whole nation.
“We look forward to joining in prayer with you on the day, on air, and online, wherever you are.”
UCB’s chief executive David L’Herroux  added: “We are excited to partner with Premier and together ask UK churches and Christians to pray.
“Imagine what it could look and sound like if hundreds or thousands of believers all across the UK paused and stood united in prayer for this brief moment.
“In a world that is bitterly divided, this intentional act of unity is a huge testimony to our shared faith in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We hope as many people as possible will be able to join us.
“If you are unable to listen to one of the stations during the day, join us anyway by praying this prayer wherever you are.”
You can listen to Premier Christian Radio via DAB, on Premier.plus, the Premier Plus app, or on Freeview 725, and UCB 1 and UCB 2 on DAB radio, online, or with UCB Player.
