Senior Care Assistant (Days)
Location: Whitby, St Joseph’s Convent
Hours: 27 hours per week (4 out of 7 days, 6.75-hour shifts)
Job Type: Part-time | Permanent
About the Role
Sisters of Mercy Whitby provides high-quality care and support to the religious sisters. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life, promoting independence and delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a convent setting.
You will take responsibility for the daily organisation of care delivery while acting as a positive role model within the team.
- Female applicants only (Occupational Requirement – personal care)
- Proven experience in residential care for older people
- Experience leading or supervising care staff
- Minimum Level 3/4 Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Ability to administer medication and deliver person-centred care
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Right to work in the UK (subject to DBS check and references)
