On New Regulations
In the Dioceses of Hallam, Leeds and Middlesbrough a pastoral letter was read out that explained why Catholic Care was taking a special case to the High Court on 3 and 4 March 2010.
This pastoral letter, which can be read or downloaded here, explains that since the passing of the Equality Act in 2006, Catholic Care has been fighting to re-establish its rights to still run an adoption agency.
It is anticipated the decision of the court will be known in approximately 3-5 weeks.
