In the aftermath of the recent extensive media coverage about the rescue of the Chilean miners, we all know much more about that South American country and its people.
You are warmly invited to attend your local Women’s World Day of Prayer service, always the first Friday in March, prepared for 2011 by the Christian women of Chile, many of whom are Catholic.
The theme this year is ‘How many loaves have you?’
If we wish for Christian unity and pray for it fervently, we also need to stand up and be counted at ecumenical services.
Look out for further details in your area. York Central service is in St Wilfrid’s RC Church at 2.00 pm on Friday 4th March 2011.
