St Mary’s Church, Filey, recently hosted the Annual Golf Competition, at Filey Golf Club, for clergy from the Middlesbrough Diocese. A meal was provided after the event, by the Sisters of Mercy, at their Filey Convent.
The winner of the event was Canon Michael Ryan, who received the Bishop Drainey Cup from St Mary’s Parish Priest, Fr Sean O’Donnell.
The runner-up was Fr John O’Gara, who received the Bishop Crowley Cup.
The Longest Drive was won by Fr John Bane and Nearest the Pin by Fr Frank Gallagher.
