Graham Kendrick and Band – Saturday 9th July 2011 – 7.00 pm – Stockton Baptist Tabernacle
Stewart McCredie, of Ministry in Music, writes,
We are delighted to welcome Graham Kendrick and his band to the area and they will be ‘performing’ at Stockton Baptist Tabernacle on Saturday 9th July at 7.00 pm in a not-to-be-missed event. Tickets available via the Tabernacle Office or Bookshop, tel (01642) 602223 at £8.00 each.
We are sure you are all aware of Graham’s ‘pedigree’.
He has been described as a ‘father of modern worship music’ whose songs are ‘crammed full of poetic, divine, biblical truth’ that have ‘sculpted a view of God that has impacted generations’. For more than 30 years he has been at the forefront of Christian music in the UK, having written and recorded hundreds of songs, many of which are well known around the world, including ‘Shine Jesus Shine’, ‘Knowing You’, ‘The Servant King’ and ‘Amazing Love’. Graham is still based in the UK and travels internationally participating in tours, festivals, conferences and training events, as a worship leader, speaker and performer.
Graham was one of the founders and the songwriter behind the global phenomenon ‘March for Jesus’, which has mobilised millions of Christians to ‘take the walls of the church’ and bring praise, prayer and acts of goodwill and reconciliation on to the streets.
We are expecting this to be another great evening of celebration and worship and would ask that you again promote this event within your fellowship. This may be an event that is more suited to people who are already familiar with church, although that should not put people off from inviting their ‘not yet Christian’ friends.
