Job opportunity for HR Manager

£38,775 a year – Pro rata

This vacancy would suit an experienced HR professional who wants to move to part-time work, while still having a stimulating and rewarding role. We are happy to discuss and support flexibility of hours and working patterns circa 21 hours per week.
In the role of HR Manager in the Diocese of Middlesbrough, you will be given autonomy to apply your expertise in employment law, with a key element of the role being the development of policies and procedures for employees and line managers within the diocese.
The role also includes responsibility for submitting the monthly payroll data to our payroll bureau and managing and implementing recruitment strategies for employees in the diocesan office and in the parishes.
The HR Manager is the primary contact on HR matters for parish priests in the parishes throughout the diocese and the role therefore involves occasional travel to parishes based in Middlesbrough, York, Hull and areas in between. A full driving license and access to a car are therefore required and business mileage will be reimbursed at the HMRC approved rate.

To be successful in this exciting role, you will have considerable experience of advising on a range of employment areas.
