Liturgies celebrating the closure of the Year of St Paul

Pope Benedict XVI designated 2008-2009 as a special ‘Year of Saint Paul’ commemorating two thousand years since the birth of the ‘Apostle to the Gentiles’.

To mark the end of this period, all are warmly invited to York Minster to attend the following liturgical celebrations in anticipation of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul:

York Minster, 27th June 2009, 5.15pm Minster Evensong followed at 6.30pm by Roman Catholic Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Antony Lester, O.Carm. by kind permission of the Dean and Chapter

The Eucharist is being organised by the Carmelites, a religious order of the Roman Catholic Church which takes particular inspiration from Saint Paul.
