Messages from Baghdad

John Hinman, a Trustee of the Middlesbrough Diocese, has kindly forwarded the following messages from Dr Jaffar Al-ghaban of Baghdad Central Training Hospital following the recent successful delivery of the seventh consignment of aid,

‘Dear Friends, We send you our grateful thanks and to thank God for the safe delivery of the medicines. These are being used now in the Hospital.’ He adds a special message for Fr Paul Farrer and his fundraising team, ‘Dear Fr Paul, Happy Birthday for you. We wish you much happiness and friendship and to thank you for all your kindness in helping our hospital at this difficult time in our country. All our good wishes and grateful appreciation for all the help we receive. Please pray for our children and our country.’

John adds thanks on behalf of the Diocese to Fr Ged Robinson, Fr Paul Dowling and their parishioners who have adopted the hospital as part of their Justice and Peace initiative and to The Northern Echo, The Universe and The Catholic Herald who are covering this particular diocesan project in the lead up to Christmas. Please continue to support and pray for the success of the Baghdad Hospital Project.
