The National Board of Catholic Women actively seeks to promote the presence, participation and responsibilities of Catholic women in the Church and society in order to enable them to fulfil their evangelical mission and to work for the Common Good.
It is a forum in which women who are members of Catholic organisations and other women representatives of diocesan structures exchange experience, express their hopes and concerns and make recommendations on the life and mission of the Church.
It forwards submissions dealing with matters of public interest and concern to the government and others, as well as providing opportunities for women of the diocese to share their views and concerns with each other and with their diocese.
This grassroots base enables the NBCW to represent the gathered voices of women in the Catholic Church of England and Wales at national and international levels.
The Diocese of Middlesbrough is working towards achieving the above aims and invites women of all ages, sectors, cultures, abilities and diversities to participate in the sharing of thoughts words and prayers to action the above mission for the Common Good.
