New fundraiser CD released ‘There is a season’

There is a Season … is a newly released CD to celebrate the 25 year old musical partnership of Sister Monica Butler (soloist) and Val Goldsack (singer and liturgical songwriter from Middlesbrough).

Sr. Monica Butler – a Sister of Mercy who now lives in London – will be remembered by many as she taught for many years in Saint Anthony’s school in Middlesbrough during the 1970s and 1980’s and lived at Crossbeck Convent (which is now Zoë’s place) in Normanby in the 1990’s.

There is a season features new hymns as well as many familiar and favorites such as:

  • Be still for the presence of the Lord
  • Christ be our Light
  • Breathe on me breath of God

and many more, plus a selection of Val’s own works.

On the CD there is a collection of twenty-one tracks, which prayerfully offer ‘the gift of song’. The collection has a timeless appeal for Christians of all denominations and will hopefully inspire and promote a quiet time of prayer and reflection for the listener – as well as raising funds for worthwhile causes. A full list of all the tracks, and audio samples can be found at www.jhnmusic.com

All the profits from the sales of this CD will go to Zoë’s Place in Middlesbrough, which is a home from home for babies who have life limiting or terminal illnesses and special needs – and also, to help the education of orphaned children in Uganda.

There is a Season is available at £7.00 from Zoë’s Place Tel: 01642 457985 or buy online from www.jhnmusic.com

(more information on Zoe’s place can be found at www.zoesplace.org)
