“On a recent visit to the church, Bishop Terence Drainey noted that our church did not have a proper lamp fitting, although a candle in a red glass has always stood on the Altar of the Blessed Sacrament.”
“Apart from the red glass, the rest of the lamp is made of recycled materials! The brass came from a fireside companion set and the wood off-cuts from my dad’s shed. My dad, Pete Dixon, made the new lamp and installed it in the church. The photograph was taken by my mum, Val Dixon, who is one of the Eucharistic Ministers in the parish.”
