The Coordinator of Adult Formation is a new role in the Diocese of Middlesbrough.
This role is full-time and a salary in the region of £45k, commensurate with experience, is offered.
As a senior appointment in the diocese, the office holder will coordinate the delivery of formation opportunities to equip the lay faithful to accept greater responsibility for evangelisation, pastoral care and administration in their parishes.
This is a key role, which will offer the post holder an unrivalled opportunity to be at the heart of the delivery of the developing Pastoral Strategy of the Bishop of Middlesbrough. This strategy and a renewed emphasis on Adult Formation are key aspects in the future of the diocese.
In the light of Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation, The Joy of the Gospel, and the General Directory for Catechesis, the Coordinator will contribute to the development and implementation of the unfolding diocesan vision for missionary discipleship and lay pastoral ministry.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough covers a geographical area from Teesside to Humberside, consisting of Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton on Tees (South of the River Tees), the cities of Kingston upon Hull and York, East Yorkshire and most of North Yorkshire.
